At around 10:30pm on Tuesday, December 17, a 56 year old woman was hit by a train close to the Galewood stop off of the Metra’s Milwaukee District West Line. The police report the incident to be accidental in nature. The woman was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood to be taken care of right away, as she was in critical condition with extensive injury to both legs.
