Sexual Assault of a Woman in Chicago’s Northside Neighborhood

On Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at approximately 7:05 PM a woman was sexually assaulted and robbed in the laundry room of her Roger’s Park apartment building. The victim reported that the offender told her he had a gun with him, and after taking her keys and phone from her pocket, he hit her head against a support beam and began to sexually assault her. The suspect is believed to be a tall black man, wearing blue jeans, a white jacket and white cuffs.

Security for the apartment complex has been reportedly very relaxed, although complaints are now being raised. The wrought iron gate at the front of the building is currently in disrepair and is of concern for the residents.
