6 People injured in a Car Accident Involving Three Cars in West Garfield Park

Six people, including two police officers, were injured in a three-car accident in West Garfield Park Saturday afternoon. According to Chicago police, three cars, including an unmarked police squad car, were involved in an accident in the 4600 block of West Washington Boulevard. Two police officers were taken to Rush Hospital. Their conditions are unknown. Another vehicle had two occupants. One was taken to Stroger Hospital, and one was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital. Truck Rolls-Over in Ridgeland on I-294

A box truck rolled over on Interstate 294 after it was involved in an accident with a car. Emergency crews were called to I-294 about 3:14 a.m. Wednesday after receiving reports of an accident in the southbound lanes near Ridgeland Avenue, Illinois State Police said. They found the truck rolled over and the driver with minor injuries, state police said. Deadly Amtrak Train Accident Involving a in Lemont

An Amtrak train struck a truck, killing a 63-year-old worker in Lemont just before 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. The man who was struck by the train works for a private company and was surveying the land at the time of the incident, according to the Lemont Fire Department. A 2-year-old girl was killed after being ejected from a car that was escaping Chicago police Sunday night in the Roseland neighborhood on the Far South Side. The 21-year-old male driver was taken into custody following the crash at 8:45 p.m. in the 10700 block of South Calumet Avenue. A DuPage County employee was killed in a workplace accident earlier this month in west suburban Villa Park. Rocky Ellingsworth, 59, suffered a “traumatic injury” at 12:09 p.m. on Feb. 8 when a portable directional board hit him on the head in the 200 block of East Roosevelt Road, according to Villa Park police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office. A 15-year-old girl died after she was struck by a drunk driver in Chicago Ridge Monday morning, police said.
