Chicago Bicyclist Killed in Accident

A Chicago bicyclist was kill last week while on his way home from work. The accident occurred in the Old Town neighborhood of Chicago around 6:30pm when the driver of a vehicle rear-ended the cyclists, throwing him from his bike. Although the biker was wearing a helmet, he suffered a severe leg injury and died an hour later at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

The driver, who was reportedly driving drunk at the time of the accident, has been charged with reckless homicide and felony aggravated DUI.
